Then it is time to take a trip to San Francisco.  San Francisco is home to a large community of Latin food restaurants with cuisines from South, Central Latin America, Spain and Mexico.  Choices range from simple street foods like tacos and burritos, to high end, trendy and fusion interpretations of classic dishes.

Although Latin food can be found everywhere in San Francisco, one can take the simplest approach and walk down Mission Street.  Mission Street is the home of a large Latino community in San Francisco but also the home to hundreds of Latin food restaurants and Latin food stores. A variety of Latin food cuisines can be found at Mission Street restaurants but the most predominant is Mexican cuisine.

Mexican cuisine is diverse as its people. Mexican food represents its people, their region and the influences by the settlers; one example is the national dish of Mexico “Mole Poblano”.  There are different varieties of Mole in Mexico but Mole Poblano stands outs due to the complexity its flavor.
